Loosing someone you love can be devastating and heartbreaking. Knowing that nothing can bring them back to the physical world or replace them adds to the pain and sorrow. Grief is a powerful emotional and physical reaction to the loss of someone important in your life. Although this is an unfortunate reality that cannot be avoided, healing and moving through the stages of grief is possible. If you are struggling with the painful loss of someone you love, please know that you can have someone on your side supporting you through your grief and healing process, you don't have to go through the pain alone. It might also be the case that you need to process conflicting emotions about the person who has passed and you will be provided with a safe and nonjudgmental space to process any past experiences. I don’t believe in finding closure in grief because what you learned from the relationship, the memories shared and your deceased loved ones essence can be integrated into your life.
Loss and grief can be felt in various circumstances like the ending or loss of anything that you were strongly identified with or attached to. Grief is a powerful emotional and physical reaction to the loss of any part of yourself or life that has importance and value. For example, going through a breakup or divorce, ending a career/ job, grieving an old chapter of your life that is no longer part of your present reality, undergoing medical illnesses that changes your lifestyle or functionality, or becoming a parent and experiencing grief about the lost freedom. Life transitions happen several times throughout life and are often accompanied by grief.
